2117 – SR. ELECTRICAL ENGINEERAmbitech Engineering is searching for an ambitious Sr. Electrical Engineer to join our Team in Maryland Heights, Missouri.  Please log on to www.ambitech.com to apply.

Responsibilities: The position requires the candidate to work as part of a project team in the execution of electrical projects.  These projects include brownfield, greenfield, retrofit, or debottlenecking / expansion in oil and gas, petrochemical, specialty chemical, biofuels, renewable energy, pharmaceutical, and the food/beverage industry.  The Electrical Sr. Engineer will lead electrical design efforts for industrial clients.

Qualifications:  Technical expertise in power distribution design and details for industrial projects.  Knowledge of NFPA 497/499 is a plus.  Candidate should have small/medium capital project experience in a lead role for Electrical (power) engineering design.  Proven track record in leading team of electrical engineers and designers, but with also a solid history of technical expertise in power supply and distribution.

Years of experience: 15+ Years of experience; Education: BSEE or Higher; Certifications: PE is Strongly Preferred; Software: SKM, CADD familiarity, but not a must.

Job description:   Examine proposals, blueprints and specifications to determine the scope & duration of work necessary for electrical construction projects.  Confer/negotiate with subcontractors, vendors and suppliers using local expertise to estimate costs for bid proposals. Create a strategic project plan from estimates; define tasks, schedules and necessary personnel.  Visit job sites to assess progress, maintain logs, trouble shoot problems and evaluate work.  Prepare material orders and other documentation.

High School Diploma (or equivalent) plus continued education, or equivalent work experience. 3 to 5 years similar experience in a fast paced environment in an electrical, contracting or construction organization.
