9119 – STAFF ENGINEER 

Fletcher-Reinhardt Company, a full-line electric utility distributor in St. Louis County, is looking for a full-time staff engineer.

Education 

  • Preferred: BS in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on power systems
  • Acceptable: Electric Utility experience of at least ten years  along with a complete understanding of vectors, phase-angles and power-factor.

Licensing  

  • Ability to obtain Professional Engineering Certificate within five years
  • US Citizen
  • Valid Missouri or Illinois Driver’s License

Skills 

  • PC proficiency using PC based applications
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage complicated engineering projects and multiple priorities

Essential functions

  • Initial responsibilities will focus on project manager, training and support of the apparatus we sell manufactured by Eaton/Cooper Power Systems.
  • Must also be available to answer technical questions from the Inside Sales Representatives and our staff in the Iowa Offices.

Moderate travel will be required, with 20 to 40 trips per year lasting two to four days per trip to visit customers, job sites, branch offices, in support of company sales reps and to pursue marketing  objectives.

8119 – Quotations Specialist

In this role you will:

  • Prepare cost estimates of material
  • Contact factories and representatives to obtain cost information
  • Work with sales representatives and customer service representatives
  • Form relationships with customers and suppliers to provide on-time and accurate quotations
  • Compare manufacturers’ bills of material to determine and price any differences for complete comparisons

What you bring to the table:

  • Experience with Excel including formulas
  • Customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • 2-3 years’ experience preferred, two-year degree preferred

8219- CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Ordering processing and review for accuracy; sent orders to the different factories (various methods)
  • Follow-up with shipment dates and tracking information
  • Resolve after sales problems (ie. Freight damage, shortages, return authorizations, problems with fixtures, etc.)
  • Manage large amounts of emails and answer in a timely manner
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results
  • Handle complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits and follow up to ensure  resolution
  • Keep records of customer interactions
  • Answer phone calls and handle with a professional attitude
  • File orders timely and consistently
  • Stay updated on product knowledge with company training
  • Previous rep experience preferred w/ substantial sign-on bonus to the right candidate

  • Working with Oasis estimating software building lighting quotations for various types of projects and building applications
  • Working with Bluebeam software for lighting takeoffs for project quotations
  • AutoCAD experience and/or Revit experience are not required, but useful for this position
  • General lighting knowledge not required but useful for this position
