10421 – ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Horner & Shifrin is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer to work in our Building Services unit. This position requires 5+ years of experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Design of electrical lighting, power, and auxiliary systems for education, recreational, commercial, housing, and healthcare buildings. Projects also include water/wastewater, and the education sector
  • Prepare electrical, low voltage and special systems project construction documents and specifications
  • Assist in the preparation of project fees and budgets

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Licensed Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain.
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code
  • Strong ability to work in both AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experience in building electrical systems preferred
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to traverse sites, including walking over rough terrain
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must complete a background check

Horner & Shifrin is seeking a full-time Electrical Designer to work in our Building Services business unit. This position requires 5+ years

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Design of electrical lighting, power, and auxiliary systems for education, recreational, commercial, housing, and healthcare buildings. Projects also include water/wastewater
  • Prepare electrical, low voltage and special systems project construction documents.
  • Work from detailed sketches developed by self or others to produce complex computer-generated construction drawings while coordinating details and dimensions between drawing sheets and between other involved disciplines.
  • Experience in building electrical systems preferred
  • Ability to traverse sites, including walking over rough terrain
  • Ability to expand knowledge base and learn from others in the department.
  • Ability to efficiently use REVIT for electrical design and production of construction documents
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must complete a background check.

10121 – ELECTRICAL ENGINEER/DESIGNER
Due to an increased workload, we are looking to fill multiple Electrical Engineering positions. Looking for someone with 5-20 years or 0-5 years of experience designing electrical systems for commercial buildings and who is ready to manage a portion of a project and/or the whole engineering team assigned to a project. AutoCAD and Revit experience is a plus.

This candidate will be put in a position of responsibility and given the opportunity to lead a team and interface with the client from start to finish of a project. This position will be responsible for employee resource management, time management, and budget analysis. Perfect position for someone who is ready to step up and lead, even if they had not been given that opportunity at their current position.

Our projects include car dealerships, carwashes, commercial laundry, c-stores, healthcare facilities, industrial offices, institutional, religious facilities, restaurants, schools, and universities.

8221 – Farnsworth Group is seeking a Revit Technician – Electrical in either our St. Louis, MO or Belleville, IL office.  In this role, you will work with our Electrical Engineers to perform electrical design tasks relative to healthcare, commercial, long-term care, industrial and educational facilities.

Specific Requirements include:

  • 0-3 years of electrical CAD/Revit experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
  • Proficient in AutoCad Version 2020 and Revit Version 2020, as well as basic skills in Word and Excel.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience drafting for Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing disciplines.
  • Knowledge of MicroStation would be a plus.
